Mayor Heitman stated that the (buncil should really get a recommendation from <br />the City Engineer rather than taking action without proper information. <br /> <br />Councilme~ber (Dx stated that the two lots are being taxed as buildable lots; <br />if the lots require a mound septic system, then the City is obligated to go <br />along with it. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman stated that the City could cease to tax the lots as buildable. <br /> <br />(Duncilme~ber (Dx stated that the City would then have to reimburse that excess <br />tax for previous years. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle noted that Council turned down a similar request from a Mr. Duncan <br />Johnson. Mr. Schnelle suggested that a findings of fact be done before <br />granting a variance. <br /> <br />(Duncilmember (Dx stated that Mr. Johnson's lot was not a lot of record. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg stated that if Gouncil grants a variance, he is going to require that <br />the basement floor and system elevation be set by an engineer. <br /> <br />Motion by (Duncilme~ber (Dx and seconded by Oouncilnmmber Sorteberg to grant a <br />variance from the requirement for 50% Class I soils for those bwo lots located <br />at xxxx 164th Lane N~ and xxxx 164th Lane ~ and approve the installation of a <br />mound system for the on-site septic system; further that this variance is <br />contingent upon the requirements of the B,~{]ding Inspector being satisfied. <br /> <br />Motion c~rried. Voting Yes: Mayor Bei~man, (Duncilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Motion by (Duncilm~mber Schlueter and seconded by Mayor Heihnan to adjourn this <br />special (Duncil meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, (Duncilmenbers Sorteberg, <br />Reimann and Schlueter.
