Not to all~ for variances from the established street <br /> grid system in Ramsey. <br /> <br />To require the developer to place a $10,000 non- <br />refundable escrow with the City to be used for <br />maintenance costs on Jarvis Street. <br /> <br />Further, to authorize the Mayor and City A~inistrator to <br />sign the amended development agreement. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hei~an, (Duncilme~bers <br />Sorteberg, fbx, Reimann and Schl~eter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Douglas Fountain stated that in Apri, 1985 Council made <br />a decision not to require a second emergency access in <br />Northfork. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that there is a second access provided <br />for in Northfork. <br /> <br />2ioposed Policy_ On Attending Seminars And Schools <br /> <br />Gouncilm~mber Reimann stated that now that there is a <br />union, seminars and schools should be considered a <br />negotiating or bargaining item and be addressed in the <br />union contract. <br /> <br />Mayor Bei~an inquired as to what the benefit would be to <br />the City if schools and s~inars are a negotiated item and <br />employees do not attend schools and seminars. <br /> <br />fDuncilmember Oox stated that there are certain things an <br />employee must attend in order to maintain job status; that <br />upgrading education benefits the individual for if and when <br />he moves to a different ~osition. <br /> <br />Gouncilm~mber Sorteberg stated that Ramsey does have a good <br />policy and questioned whether it should be changed. <br /> <br />(Duncilm~mber Reimann stated that attendance is not the <br />only point; there is the time taken off, meals, use of <br />oompany vehicles and other spin-offs. <br /> <br />Mayor Hei~an suggested that the p~oposed resolution <br />regarding attendance at seminars include wording to require <br />that a seminar description, including the benefit to Ramsey <br />in having an individual attend, be sukmitted. <br /> July 29, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 20 of: 22 <br /> <br /> <br />
