(D~cilm~rber (Dx stated he <br />is opposed to adopting s~rething the first day it is introduoed with no <br />opportunity to review it; it is not credible manag~rent. <br /> <br />Mayor Hei~an restated his ~endment as follows: <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Bei~ran to ~end the motion to include that if there is a <br />beneficial method of disbursement, other than what is described in the <br />resolution, and it is in aocordanoe with the ordinanoe, that method would be <br />the prooedure to follow. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Co~cilm~ber (Dx stated he is willing to receive the <br />resolution, but aspects of it will be reviewed and time will be allowed for <br />additional information to oome to the Personnel Go~rittee. Mayor Heftman <br />irguired as to who (Duncilmerber (Dx would have review the resolution. <br />Oo~ci~ber Oo~ stated that his motion states that he agrees to accept the <br />r esi grm ti on and resolution on the oondition that Gomacil reviews aspects of it <br />and not adopt it at tonight's ~eeting. Go~cilm~ber Gox stated that he wants <br />time to discuss this with the City Attorney, or an outside attorney, and if <br />this is not going to be allowed for he will withdraw his motion. <br /> <br />Go~cilm~mber (Dx withdrew his motion and Mayor Heitman withdrew ~endment. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Heitman and seoonded by Gouncilm~rber Sorteberg to adopt <br />Resolution %85-176 accepting the resignation of Mr. (2ayton Berg, Director of <br />Technical Services, oontingent upon: 1) Bouts accx~ulated are justified and in <br />aooordance with City ordinanoe; 2) A review be prepared by the Finance Officer <br />to determine if there is a more beneficial disbursement ~ethod other than what <br />is described in the resolution; 3) Gat the City proceed with the <br />beneficial disbursement method. (Please refer to resolution file for <br />Resolution %85-176). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Gomacilm~rber Oox stated that he will be voting 'naye' on <br />this motion; he is not voting 'no' to accepting the resignation, he is voting <br />'no' because he disagrees with aspects of the resolution. (D~cilm~ber (Dx <br />stated that he questions whether the hours indicated have been on the job and <br />accredited towards some of that time; want to find out if this individual was <br />paid for certain dates or used sick or vacation time.
