Absent: <br />Co~nissioner Kennen. <br /> <br />~he Commission suggested that Mr. Baker have Mr. Kovar contact Ms. Anne Norris <br />regarding the possibility of petitioning for street improvements. <br /> <br />f'~se #3: <br /> <br />D~seussion Re~ardina Density_ S~ndar0 E~tabl!shed In <br /> Comprehensive Plan For Residential~Develorm~ent_In Rural Area: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that this subject has oome up for discussion as a result of <br />several requests for P.U.D. develolm~ent which propose significantly lower <br />density than is set down in the City's Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />(lm~ission reviewed me~o from City Staff to Planning and Zoning Commission <br />dated February 5, 1985. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris explained that in order to get the sanitary water and sewer <br />connections, Ramsey, through it's Comprehensive Plan, agreed to limit <br />develounent in the rural area until urbanization of the southeast oorner has <br />been achieved. Ramsey has deviated from the 1 unit/10 acres stipulation and <br />now is developing at 1 unit/5 acres. <br /> <br />(/m~ission consensus is that City Planner Anne Norris arrange a joint meeting <br />between the Planning and Zoning Con~ission, City Council and Metro Council <br />representatives regarding the density criteria set down in Ramsey's <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Oommission consensus is that the following issues shouldbediscussedat the <br />joint meeting: <br /> <br />If the Metro Council is going to hold Ramsey to the 1 in 10 density <br />requirement, what can they do to help Ramsey stimulate growth in the <br />Urban area? <br /> <br />2. ~he density boundaries could be redrawn so that development north of <br /> <br /> February 5, 1985 <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Co~nission <br /> <br /> <br />
