I <br />I <br /> <br />Yol~r action will be based on discussion of 'the above. <br /> <br />~te~ ~ ~taff~n~ <br /> <br />Due to the workload that has been placed on City Staff to serve <br />Council, Commissions and citizens and perforr~ our regular work, we <br />are becomin§ swamped beyond our ability to get everything done. <br />Frankly, I don't see an end to it. This issue was brought before the <br />Personnel Committee at their meeting of July 11, 1985 and they stated <br />that it should be brought before Council for action. Please refer to <br />enclosure B-10 of this agenda for these minutes. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Consequently, we are looking at adding <br />follows to react to City needs: <br /> <br />a) one secretary <br />b) one community services <br /> violations~ etc.) <br /> <br />two additional persons as <br /> <br />officer (to cover zoning and dog <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />It is proposed that we accomplish this in the following manner: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />Appoint Council Secretary to our Clerical II position - She <br />will continue taking minutes at meetings, handle the Ra~sey <br />newsletter and cover more areas to free Penny for other <br />tasks. She will then be paid a regular salary for the <br />position and be paid overtime when performed. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />Hire Community Services Officer - This person will cover all <br />zoning and dog violations. It appears that the City will <br />have to address these problems more effectively than we have <br />in the past. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Your action will be to approve/disapprove of the above. <br /> <br />Item H~ .... ~Sett~q ....
