Commissioner McCorron made motion approving II. Environmental Services; 5. Waste <br />Mangement of Minnesota - Development Limitation; from the Community Health and <br />Social Services Board report from the meeting of August 8, Ic)85, with the addition of <br />the fol lowing; <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />There will be a monthly status report made by Waste Management of <br />Minnesota, Inc., to a committee of the County Board appointed by the <br />Chairman of the Anoka County Board. The status report will include an <br />update of Waste Management actlvites within and related to Anoka <br />County, including any landfill expansion plans or actions. <br /> <br />Commissioner Haas seconded the motion. Commissioners Haas, Burman, Langfeld, <br />Cenaiko, McCarro~ and Erhart voted "yes." Motion carried. · <br /> <br />Commissioner Haas offered the following resolution and moved its adoption.. <br /> <br /> AUTHORIZATION FC)~ CONTRACT AGI:~EEME. NT WITH <br /> THE STATE OF MIhI~SOTA I]~PARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br /> TO PROVIDE FL~IN(] FOf~ <br /> .SENIOR TF~TATION SERVICES IN AKIC~ COUNTY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Anoka County Board of Commissioners is interested in improving <br />the provision of transportation services to Anoka County senior citizens; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has funding available to <br />support these services and Anoka County has applied for and been awarded funding <br />from that department: <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation grant of $36,160.80 be used for 65% of the IC)86 Senior Transportation <br />System budget and that the Anoka County Community Health and Social Services <br />Department provide funding of $19,/~71.20 to cover the remaining 35% of the budget. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that authorization to execute the above contract <br />be given to the Director of the Community Health and Social Services Department. <br /> <br /> BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Community Health and Social Services <br />Department Director, or designee, be authorized to execute the request, for <br />reimbursement from the Minnesota Department of Transportation. <br /> <br />Commissioners Haas, Burman, Langfeld, Cenaiko, McCarron and Erhart voted "yes." <br />Motion carried. Resolution declared adopted. <br /> <br />Commissioner Langfeld offered the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br /> I~_SOLUTION <br /> <br /> COUNTY BOARD AUTHORIZATION FOR PAYMENT OF' EXPEINIDITU~ <br /> FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOI~MF. NT BLOCK ~ P~O..~CTS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1~7~,, as <br />amende¢ provides for a program of Community Development Block Grants (C.D.B.G.); <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Anoka County Bo~d af CammLs~ane_rs has been cLeslg~terl as a~ <br />Urban County by the Federal Housing and Urban Development Deportment and <br />consequently is eligible to participate in the National Community Development Block <br />(]rant Program; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Anoka County Board of Commissioners has directed the <br />preparation of o plan under the Community Development Block Grant Program in <br />concert with the municipalities of Anoka County; and, <br /> <br /> <br />
