She states that no neighbors have complained and that
may have been true because this summer their property was VERY wooded so neighbors may not have
noticed the pig but now that the leaves are gone their entire property, side and back yard are very visible
and very unkempt looking especially from the inside of the cul-de-sac. They state that as long as the pigs
waste is cleaned up consistently there is no odor but based on the current condition of their property I am
concerned that the pig waste may not be disposed of properly on their two acre lot. Currently there are 6
properties in Northfork for sale priced between $520,000 and $700,000. One of those properties is their
neighbor priced at $599,900. I am concerned having chickens and pigs on a neighbors property negatively
impacts that price point besides the overall poor condition of their property. As I stated earlier, I am
concerned all property values in this golf course community will be impacted eventually if this request is
made an exception. Thank You for listening to my concerns.
Marilyn Ranelle
-----Original Message-----
From: Tim Gladhill
To: Ramsey Planning ; MARILYN RANELLE
Cc: Chris Anderson ; Eric Maass (emaass(d9,wsbenq comb ; Kurt Ulrich
Sent: Monday, December 05, 2016 7:55 AM
Subject: RE: Pot Belly Pig Request
Marilyn,
I am circling back with your previous email below. An item that will help us better present public comment is specific
concerns you may have about keeping of animals on this site. I suspect that the existence of HOA rules alone will not be
a compelling enough legal argument to deny. In order for our Council to consider this option, I feel we would need
some more specific concerns. Please feel free to email us with more specifics, and we will include this with the public
record.
i
