c. Community School: l'fr. M~rc Hadley present to speak to Council on Community SChool Advisory Council. Mr. Hadley ~nded out an outline to the Codncil dealing with the Advisory Council and Adult Programs. Mayor Cox commented that the Family Night is a good suggestion. ~rc Hadley said there will be other family oriented activities that he did not include as strictly adult. ~ir. Hadley will be presenting a list of candidates for the Advisory Council for 1978-79 school year to the Council on September 4th. d. Replacement for Vacant Police Officer Position. Chief Auspos read his recommendation to the Council. He recommends the hiring of Mike Eason provided he present to the City a doctor's statement for physical fitness and takes a test to be recertified as a police officer.~ Salary for starting is $1,217 with a six month probation p~riod; ~1,317 for 1979 (2nd year level). Motion by Mickelson, seconded by Gamec to proceed with Chief Auspos' recommendation to hire ~ike Eason. 5 Ayes Motion by Gamec, seconded by Reimann to keep the remaining four candidates on a certified list for a period of one year and to draw from this list in case a vacancy should be created. 5 Ayes e. M~te Punch & Die, Regarding WAiver on Spz~kler System. Motion by Muller, seconded by Mickelson to waive the State sprinkler system requirements contingent upon Mate P~nch & Die providing an adequate fire smoke alarm system satisfactory to the City Building Inspector and in the future when municipal water becomes available to the premises a water sprinkling system as required by the State will be installed ~m~ediately in th~ proposed addition as well as the existing system. 5 Ayes f. LAWCON Park Grant. Stan Walz of the P & R Commission presented grant applications for the LAWCON Park grant. Discussion held. Motion by Ydckelson, seconded by Reimann to submit the grant applications to IJ~WCON and authorize the Mayor to sign the grant applications. 5 Ayes g. Urban Development Permit for ~dical Clinic. ~. Art Braun of C.R. Clinic, Keith Graham, Engineer and Roger Wingess of Girand & Moody Industrial Municipal Bonding Agency~were present in regard to this request. Discussion held.
