c. Community School: l'fr. M~rc Hadley present to speak to Council on <br /> Community SChool Advisory Council. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hadley ~nded out an outline to the Codncil dealing with the Advisory <br /> Council and Adult Programs. <br /> <br /> Mayor Cox commented that the Family Night is a good suggestion. <br /> <br /> ~rc Hadley said there will be other family oriented activities that he <br /> did not include as strictly adult. <br /> <br /> ~ir. Hadley will be presenting a list of candidates for the Advisory Council <br /> for 1978-79 school year to the Council on September 4th. <br /> <br /> d. Replacement for Vacant Police Officer Position. <br /> <br /> Chief Auspos read his recommendation to the Council. He recommends the <br /> hiring of Mike Eason provided he present to the City a doctor's statement <br /> for physical fitness and takes a test to be recertified as a police officer.~ <br /> Salary for starting is $1,217 with a six month probation p~riod; ~1,317 for <br /> 1979 (2nd year level). <br /> <br /> Motion by Mickelson, seconded by Gamec to proceed with Chief Auspos' recommendation <br /> to hire ~ike Eason. 5 Ayes <br /> <br /> Motion by Gamec, seconded by Reimann to keep the remaining four candidates <br /> on a certified list for a period of one year and to draw from this list in <br /> case a vacancy should be created. 5 Ayes <br /> <br /> e. M~te Punch & Die, Regarding WAiver on Spz~kler System. <br /> <br />Motion by Muller, seconded by Mickelson to waive the State sprinkler system <br />requirements contingent upon Mate P~nch & Die providing an adequate fire <br />smoke alarm system satisfactory to the City Building Inspector and in the <br />future when municipal water becomes available to the premises a water sprinkling <br />system as required by the State will be installed ~m~ediately in th~ proposed <br />addition as well as the existing system. 5 Ayes <br /> <br />f. LAWCON Park Grant. <br /> <br /> Stan Walz of the P & R Commission presented grant applications for the LAWCON <br /> Park grant. <br /> <br /> Discussion held. <br /> <br /> Motion by Ydckelson, seconded by Reimann to submit the grant applications <br /> to IJ~WCON and authorize the Mayor to sign the grant applications. 5 Ayes <br /> <br />g. Urban Development Permit for ~dical Clinic. <br /> <br /> ~. Art Braun of C.R. Clinic, Keith Graham, Engineer and Roger Wingess of <br /> Girand & Moody Industrial Municipal Bonding Agency~were present in regard to <br /> this request. <br /> <br />Discussion held. <br /> <br /> <br />
