If there is a 60% vote in favor, in his opinion,
he will have something to base a decision on but it may not necessarily be
tonight.

Councilman Reimann asked if the total figure include8 the empty lots.

Engineer Sba replied affirmatively.

A letter from Leonard Greim, 16330 Wolfram Street, was received indicating
a yes vote.

Mr. Leroy Heinen, 6850 162nd Lane, said he owns 13 vacant parcels and is not
in favor of the improvement.

Art Dussl stated that since the new develoMments have to pave, why would
the Council object when 50 percent are in favor, this seems consistent in
his opinion even if the majority isn't in favor.

Attorney Goodrich explained that one of the reasons the City requires
blacktopping in new developments is to try to hold down develoMnent because
of Metro Council sewage regulations. It makes it less profitable for
developers.

Resident on Uranium Street stated that if we wait two years the vacant lots
will be sold but the cost of the improvement will be more.

Mr. Heinen said he doesn't feel that the blacktop will hold up and he will
have to bring fill into the lots he owns and asked who will pay for damages
that the heavy trucks may cause.

Mayor Cox said he would be responsible if his trucks did the damage.

Bob Griglak, 16360 wolfram Street, asked if persons living in the area carried
more weight in voting than someone who didn't live in the area.

Duane Davis, .6390 164th Lane, stated at other meetings a comment was made
by a contractor that he puts better asphalt driveways in than you will have
for a road, some of the roads around Ramsey have-holes that will snap a
wheel off of a 4-wheel drive, what kind of maintenance will we get on a little
road like Uranium?

m~ny~eCox s~id with our present budget we probably have the best road service
area oy comparing communities with the same type of operation.
