Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION # <br /> <br /> AUTHORIZE STAFF TO CREATE AN ELIGIBILITY LIST <br /> TO HIRE A PATROL OFFICER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Chief has expressed a need to hire an additional patrol <br />officer; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Chief has identified funding to support this position; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff has requested authorization to begin the recruitment process <br />for a patrol officer. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br /> <br /> Grant staff authorization to begin the recruitment process for a patrol officer. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed, and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the l0th day of August, 2004. <br /> <br />-258- <br /> <br />G:V,,dministration\HurnanResources\Recruitment\Police\08-04 Officer Recruitment\aulh to create eligibility list Io hire patrol officer.doc <br /> <br /> <br />
