Memb~,r$ of the commisn]on shall be appointed by a maJortty <br />vote of the city council for terms of three years, except that any person. <br />appointed to fil] a vacancy occurring prior to the expiration of the term <br />for whjch his predecessor was appointed shall be appointed only for the <br />remainder of such term. <br /> <br /> 4. Members of the commission shall be residents of the City of <br />Ramsey while serving on the commission and shall represent a broad range <br />of interest in the park and recreation function. <br /> <br /> 5. The commission became effective on their first meeting on <br /> October 23, 1975, with three members appointed for a term through 1978, <br /> two members appointed for a term through 1977, and two members appointed <br /> for a term through 1976. <br /> <br />m CommisSioners may resign voluntarily or may be removed fro~'~ <br /> ajority vote of the city council. Special meetings may be called by the chair- <br />man. All meetings shall be public meetings and open to the public. <br /> <br />10. 0410 FX-OI:FI CIO <br /> <br />The mayor may appoint a council member or a city staff person as an ex- <br />officio member of the commission privileged to speak on any matter with- <br />out a vote~ and the ex-officio member shall provide a liaison between <br />the commission and the city council. <br /> <br /> <br />
