While an attempt to obtain <br />airport zoning for it was abandoned in 1974, flight operations <br />are substantial and increasing, but are generally limited to <br />single-engine light planes. <br /> <br /> A number of commercial enterprises exist along MTH #10 <br />extending as a strip west from the City of Anoka. They are <br />all south of the railroad trackage and are predominantly on <br />frontage roads adjacent to MTH #10. These businesses are <br />generally highway oriented, being primarily accommodating or <br />requiring heavy truck activity. Retail businesses are generally <br />confined to those requiring large open storage areas, such as <br />building materials, automobiles, mobile homes and recreational <br />vehicles. <br /> <br />- 9 - <br /> <br /> <br />
