These types of housing
are essential to retain the small family and the elderly in
the community, which is essential to achieve a balanced and
stable community.

These types of housing units can best be provided by
apartments, townhouses and small lot single family dwellings.
These types of housing have a common and obvious need for
urban services and therefore should be located in the
urban planning district.

The projected population growth through 1990 is 10,500
persons. Approximately 3,500 can be accommodated on the
existing large lots, leaving 7,000 persons to be provided for
through new development. If these persons were housed
entirely within the housing types suggested for the urban
planning district, the community would be well on its way to
achieving balance in housing with some 10,000 persons on large
lot single family units and 7,000 in smaller and lower cost
housing units.

To accommodate 7,000 persons in urban housing will require
approximately 700 acres.
