i <br /> ! <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />:1 <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />subdivision in those areas which are not expected to receive <br />central sewer facilities in the foreseeable future and have <br />determined that a combination of soils restrictions, septic <br />system regulation and specific lot size limitations are the <br />appropriate mechanisms at this time to encourage more dense <br />development in the 1990 urban area and to maintain the semi- <br />rural and rural atmosphere in those parts of the city where <br />this appears appropriate. <br /> <br /> Municipal Sewer and Water: Municipal sewer and water <br />systems will be extended simultaneously in accordance with a <br />staged plan of development. <br /> <br /> The City will construct an independent water supply system <br />which will meet normal municipal waterworks standards in the <br />urban service area. <br /> <br /> Sewer service cannot be provided until the Metropolitan <br />Waste Control Commission extends the CAB interceptor to the <br />City limits. This is not anticipated to occur until 1980. <br />When this occurrence is a certainty, it is proposed that sewer <br />service be extended in accordance with a schedule to be estab- <br />listed by the City Council with a goal of serving the entire 1990 <br />Urban Service Area by the year 1990. <br /> <br /> To accomplish this in a manner which will further the <br />community goals and objectives, a workable program of financing <br />and construction must be established.
