Page 10 November 13, 1978 POLICE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL ALLOCATION 1979 Chief of Police Mike Auspos was present to discuss his request with the Council to appoint him fulltime Chief of Police effective January 1, 1979. Chief Auspos was asking for a waiver of probationary period of six months and allowing him to have three weeks vacation effective at the start of his employment of fulltime Chief. City Administrator Schnelle stated the Council should check with the City Attorney on the legality of allowing the three weeks vacation effective January 1, 1979. Motion by Councilman Gamec and seconded by CouncitmanMuller to hire Chief Michael Auspos effective January 1, 1978 for an annual salary of $21,000.00 waiving the six month probationary period and allowing him to have three weeks vacation. Motion carried.
