St~rr replied that they bare no authority to restrict platting, <br />and that the ~.etro Council will have to make adjustments if we do <br />e×ceed t.beir forecasts. <br /> <br />Ken Paterson. asked what does it take to orove oopu!ation? Ken Paterson <br />stated that the Metro figures have always been significantly lower than <br />ours, and aske5 if they would accept our figures? <br /> <br />Mr. Starr stated that they use buildin~ oermit monitoring. <br /> <br />Couoc~]man Muller asked if there is a chance that the City of Ramsey <br />should be consi8erin£1 buil~in~ their own facilities. <br /> <br />Mr. Start rem]led that we won't have to~ if we can just wait a couple <br />of years. Mr. Starr briefly ezp~ined about the "Ramsey Connection" <br />and the cap&.city of the Anoka Plant was discussed. Mr. Start stated <br />that they do ~ot want to encourage growth in the transitional area, and <br />that they are committed to two connections for Ramsey, an5 as <br />far as something more definite sees tomite only as discussion. <br /> <br />In regards to the e~viromental secbion of the Plan, Mr. Start stated <br />that he does not see specific enviromenta! control. <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Cosby was ~'resent to 5i£cuss'-.~the~'H~u~i~ e~'~e~t ~-2~"Pi~. <br />Mr..'Cosb~'~exo~&in~5'~ha~'~he.had brought some materials to be read, <br />a~ then ~isc~ssed at a l~ter ~ate. The items brought were as follows: <br />1.) Proposed full share goals for haw modest cost housing units. <br />2.) Metro Land Plamming Act Com. preh~nsive Plan Review for Urban Com- <br /> munities, Freestanding Communities~ and Central Cities. <br />3.) Reoort on Modest Cost Housing in Twin City Metro Area. <br />4.) Pe-dr~ft Guidelines for Review of Housing Elements of Local Plans <br /> under the Land Planning Act. <br />The difference between Low Income Housing and Modest Cost Housing was <br />discussed with Mr. Cosby stating that the projected number of ,~fodest <br />Cost Housing units for Ramsay was 364 for the next 10 year period, <br />and that our Plan must indicate total incentives offered locally to <br />orovide reduced cost housing. <br /> <br /> <br />
