LICENSE - CASE OF JOHN

(Public hearing regarding this requast was held earlier this date)

Mr. Taylor stated tbat he has lived at this address for two and one-half years.

Kathy Schneider asked about the selling of'the .pups and how many litters would
be sold each year as she is concerned that this may be subject to a home occu-
pation permit.

Attorney C~odrich said that approval of this conditional use permit could carry
a stipulation that it would not beconm a business requiring a business license
or home occupation and if it does that the permit may be cancelled if they are
unable to obtain anything for this type of business.

Art Dtmn cautioned the Taylors that if they were going to use a steel waste
container that they should be aware that it could rust out. He suggested
they check into something like fiberglas. Also to be sure that it is far enough
away from the water supply.

Motion by Gerald Z~, seconded by Kathy Schneider to reconmmd that
the City Council grant approval of the Conditional Use ~ermit for John and Gail Taylor
to operate a private dog kennel at their residence, 5510 156th Lane N.W., provided
they adhere to the conditions of the City ordinance governing such conditional uses
and that they l~mit the an~unt of dogs on their premises to a maxim~ of 3 to 5
dogs at one time. It is also reconnmded that something other than steel waste
containers be used for waste disposal and that the inside drain during the Winter
will be used for fibre1 clean up only and per the City Attorney's recomnendation,
that if they are found to be conducting a business, that they will be reqn~red to
obtain a license for said business and if they cannot obtain a license that this
conditional use permit may be cancelled.
Motion carried. 5 - 0.

Item No. 4 DON GR~NBERG'S PROPOSED ADDITION TO THE GARAGE REGARDING SCREENING

Mr. Greenberg appeared before the P & Z Conm~ssion and presented his proposed
addition to his garage on the corner of County Road 57 and Highway 10. The
addition is to be 70 X 169.4 feet. Mr. Greenberg conmented regarding the
screening , he said originally he was to have a steel fence between his
business and the trailer court but there was some discrepancy as to the
location of the property line, they still don't know where it is. The owner of
the trailer court has indicated to Mr. Greenberg that the ~oden fence looks
better than a steel fence
