Page 8 <br />Regular Planning & Zoning Meeting <br />June 4, 1979 <br /> <br />Art Dunn suggested that the right of way be looped through the property in <br />suah a fashion as to eliminate one street being on top of another, (149th Lane) <br />it would have to be dropped south from Menkveld's land. <br /> <br />Mr. Shenk said he would absolutely not go along with this. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairman ~_n Petersc~ seconded by Gerry Zinmerman to recorm~nd <br />to the City Council to hold a public hearing for the purpose of rezoning <br />Mr. Shenk's property and that an attempt be made to negotiate a 120 foot <br />easement for the extention of Industry Boulevard through Mr. Shenk' s property <br />and Mr. Shenk to pay the fee for rezoning. <br /> <br />Mr. Shenk said he would not rezone the land then, and that he would leave it <br />up to the people who are buying it. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson recinded the n~tion. <br />Gerry Zinmerman recinded the second. <br /> <br />Item No. 8 MR. JACK MENKV~,D TO ADDRESS THE P & Z OOMv[[SSION REGARDING RESTRICTIONS <br /> <br />ON HIS PLAT <br /> <br />, Mr. M~mkveld appeared before the ConnRssion with a proposed control development for <br /> the industrial lots in Mm~eld's Industry Center which he had prepared. <br /> <br />Mr. John Hubbard suggests that the City ask any future purchasers, of Industrial <br />lots for development to post a $2000 bond for landscaping purposes until such <br />time as the formal rules regarding the s~e_ are adopted. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairman Peterson, seconded by John Hubbard to request that the City <br />Council pass a temporary resolution gi~.'_ng them the powers .by which to regulate <br />development of all co,~rcial, industrial and rm,ltip!e dwelling sites and design <br />plan revisions until a policy can be adopted to regulate these developm~ts. <br />Motion carried. 5 - 0. <br /> <br />Chairman Ken Peterson informmd the P & Z ~n~bers that he is meeting on Thursday <br />with Dexter Marston regarding the rest of his contract for the cor~preh~nsive plan. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson also stated that he has requested the Personnel Committee to <br />reconmend that the City Council approve employing Arlene Peddycoart to take <br />P & Z Conmission minutes, prepare Agendas and work on special projects. <br /> <br />Motion by Kathy Schneider, seconded by Chaizn~ Ken Peterson to .adjourn. <br />Motion carried. 5 - 0. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned .at 12:50 A.M. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Arlene Peddycoart <br />Recording Secretary <br /> <br /> <br />
