-2- <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING; NOTICE AND PROCEDURE. The Planning Commission shall hold <br />at least one public hearing on proposals for amendment of this ordinance, af- <br />fording an opportunity for all parties interested to be heard and shall give <br />not less than ten (10) days nor more than thirty (30) days notice of time <br />and place of such hearing published in the legal newspaper for the City. <br /> <br />When an amendment involves changes in zoning district boundaries, such notice <br />shall also contain the description of the land and the proposed changes in <br />zoning. At least ten (10) days before the hearing the Zoning Administrator <br />shall mail an identical notice to the owner and to each of the property <br />owners within three hundred fifty (350) feet of the outside boundaries of the <br />land proposed to be re-zoned. For the purpose of giving mailed notice, the <br />Zoning Administrator may use any appropriate records to determine the names <br />and addresses of owners. A copy of the notice and a list of the owners and <br />addresses to which the notice was sent shall be attested to by the Zoning <br />Administrator and shall be made a part of the records of the proceedings. <br /> <br />The failure to give mailed notice to individual 'property owners, or defects <br />in the notice shall not invalidate the proceedings provided a bona fide <br />attempt to comply with this section has been made. <br /> <br />ACTION BY P]J%NNING CO~ISSION. Within sixty (60) days after the date of <br />receipt of the petition by the Zoning Administrator, the Planning Commission <br />shall make a written report to the Council stating its findings and recommenda- <br />tions. <br /> <br />ACTION BY THE COUNCIL. Upon the filing of the report of the Planning Commis- <br />sion, the Council may hold such public hearings upon the amendment as it deems <br />advisable. If the Planning commission fails to make a report within sixty (60) <br />days after receipt of the application, then the Council shall hold a public <br />hearing within thirty (30) days after ths expiration of said sixty (60) day <br /> <br /> <br />
