Enclosures (D1-2 Application)

D1-4 MINNESOTA UTILITY - SITE PLAN

Mr. Start Lebakken submitted a request to construct' an addition
to his existing building. They do contracting for various utility
companies such as Northwestern Bell Telephone. They employ 25 persons.
The property is near Ramsey 67 Industrial Park.

Please note that the site plan only shows RLS 30, but this company
is using Parcel 3000 and Outlot B as shown on the enclosed (D1-4b)
Photos of this business are in the applicant's file. There is a
gravel pit adjacent to Industry Avenue which is being filled with
debris and junk cars etc. Also there is a mobile home to the
east of Minn. Utility buildingwhich appears to be occupied. Was this
mobile home grandfathered in or is it in violation of the ordinance?
This business appears to be quite an unsitely operation as far as the
debris, junk, and vehicles parked around the buildings.

F. nclo sure s

(D1-4a application)
(D1-4b plat plan)

D1-5 LEISURE WHEELS - SIGN PERMIT

Leisure Wheels at 7435 Highway 10 N.W. has installed a new
sign which is in the right of way(about 1/2 of the sigr~.~
After this sign was installed, Leisure Wheels was notified that
they would have to apply for a sign permit from the City.

There are two problems with this sign. 1) It is 1/2 way in the
right of way and 2) it is over the allowable size. by 16 feet,so
they will be required to appeal to the Board of Adjustment for
a variance to the sign ordinance and pay the $90 fee.

~nclosures (D1-Sa) Sign Permit application'~
(D1-Sb) Sketch

Picture of this sign is on file in the city office.

D1-6 STEVEN WELSH - WELSH AUTO'BODY ~ 'SITE 'PLAN

Mr. Welsh wants to add onto the west side of his existing building
for an office, bathroom and tool storage area. The amount of customers
he employs is tWo besides himself. The existing building
is structural steel and wood frame, the outside ~3alls are green and
the roof is white. He plans to install a privacy fence on the
west side of the building about 1/2 way back on the side of the
building and stucco the side and the front.

Mr. Welsh is also requesting permission to install a sign. The
Conmission should review this request along with the site plan'.

Enclosures (D1-6aApplication)
(D1-6b Sketch Plan)
(D1-6c Sign Application)
