CRAIG KINDERMAN - ACCESS PROBL~I~ <br /> <br />Mr. Kinderman explained his position to the Commissioners. <br /> <br />Discussion held. He could sell off at least a 200 foot wide strip from <br />181st back to the landlocked parcel or ask for a variance for an easement. <br /> <br />Mr. Kindermau was advised to confer with City Attorney William Goodrich <br />for legal advice as to how to solve this problem. <br /> <br />MINING ORDINANCE <br /> <br />Motion by Kathleen Schneider, seconded by Ben Deemer to table any action <br />on this ordinance until the October l, 1979 meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. 7-0. <br /> <br />CITIZEN'S INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Don Taylor representing a towing service operating out of Ken's Auto <br />Repair on St. Francis Boulevard and 153rd Avenue was present to discuss with <br />the P & Z Commission, the possibility of conducting a towing service in <br />conjunction with the City Police Department. He would go by the same rules <br />as Coon Rapids Police. He just uses Mr. Niles land and has no interest in <br />the land or present business. <br /> <br />Administrator Schnelle suggested that this issue be discussed with the <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br />Art Dunn expressed concern that there is a possibilitY that with this kind <br />of operation the property could end up looking like Max's. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson asked if he would be dealing with St. Francis, Burns, etc. <br /> <br />Mr. Taylor replied that he thinks the impound lot should be located in the <br />City for the people of that City only. <br /> <br />Mr. West stated that this is a perfect time for them to relocate their entire <br />business in the Industri'al zoned area so that they could be a conforming use <br />operation as they are not a conforming use to the area they are in at present. <br /> <br />Motion by Ben Deemer, seconded by Kathleen Schneider to table this case <br />until there is further information, input from the Ci.ty Attorney and more <br />information on City procedures regarding this matter.' <br /> <br />Motion carried. 7-0. <br /> <br />Motion by Ben Deemer, seconded by Kathleen Schneider to adjourn the meeting. <br />Motion carried. 7-0. ~ <br /> <br />Adjournment 12:53 A.M. <br /> <br />Arlene Peddycoart ~ / <br />Planning Secretary ~' -8- <br /> "Regular P & g Meeting - 9/4/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
