Motion to request City Admindstrator to direct City maintenance to reseed ballfields and carry out whatever else is necessary to ready ballfields for use next spring. It was indicated tha{ City Council was favorably disposed to project. Kempf, repreBenting Ramsey group of AYAA, was at meeting to determine if progress had been made on their request from last meeting. (see item #5) 11. D.N.R. proposal for White Pines River Park. lit. lAasterson indi- cated that D.N.R. would be 'willing to provide materials for the develop- ment of primitive campsites for canoists at White Pines thiver Park. The proposal is consistent with the Commission's plans for White P~nes ' River Park and would relieve pressure from Brookview. Park from canoeists. The City's only requirement will be to install and maintain it. After lengthy discussion, it was moved by Johnson to recommend to City Council that attached agreement be entered into with D.N.R. for the development of the lower portion of White Pines as a River'Canoe Park. Seconded by Walz. ~otion carried. It was noted that D.N.R.'s expenditures could be used aS matching funds for future LAWCON projects. 12. Resignation of Doris Irvine. Commission to recommend acceptance of her resignation and advertisement to accept nominations for vacancy created by said resignation.. Motion carried. 13. Meeting adjourned at 9:45 P.M.
