I <br /> ! <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />City Attorney stated that a variance would require a public hearing. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that the City should not mislead Mr. Olsen into <br />a public hearing regarding exemption from platting, when the City does <br />r~ot allow metes and bounds subdivision, unless the Council wants to go with <br />l~etes and bounds subdivision. <br /> <br />Mr. Olsen stated that platting could be accomplished in the future, but for <br />right now part of the purchase agreement is the stipulation that a church <br />can be built on that property. (Plat 89322, Parcel 40). <br /> <br />Clayton Berg stated that the Planning Commission should address this matter <br />and make it's recommendation to Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Olsen stated that he is also looking at a piece of property about 1/4 <br />mile away from Plat 89322,. and it is 10 acres in size. Mr. Olsen wanted to <br />know if platting would still be required if he purchased this piece of <br />property. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich informed him that platting would not be required by <br />a Conditional Use Permit would be. <br /> <br />Case I~3: Authoriztion To Call For Price Quotes For Pet Clinic: <br /> <br />Refer to Page 19, Paragraph 12 of these minutes. <br /> <br />Case tt4: R~quest For A Variance To Subdivision Ordinance; Case Of Mr. Allen <br /> <br />Pearson: <br /> <br />Mr. Pearson was present and stated that he would like to build a house on <br />his mother's farm property, that where City Ordinance states he should build <br />is not where he wants to build and he does not want to totally cut up the <br />farm. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to approve <br />of Mr. Pearson's request to subdivided by metes and bounds a parcel of 2+ <br />acres in size from Plat 89230, Parcel 10. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: Mobile Home Park In Regards To Zoning: <br /> <br />Mr. Gilbert Menkveld and Mr. Dick Hajek were present at the meeting. <br />Mr. Menkveld introduced Mr. Hajek as being a person who wanted to purchase <br />part of the NE ¼ of Section 28, Township 32, Range 25, to be uased as a <br />mobile home park. Mr. Menkveld stated that he couldn't see any problem <br />with the mobile home park use as he had acquired a special use permit for <br />a mobile home park in 1972 for this property. Mr. Menkveld requested the <br />Council to confirm that the special use permit existed and that there would <br />be no problem in starting construction on a mobile home park immediately. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich, in response said that in 1972 Ramsey Township did <br />issue a special use permit to Mr. Menkveld for operation of a mobile home <br />park. In addition, in 1973 Ramsey Township entered into an agreement with <br />Mr. Menkveld which was a Purchase and Lease Back Agreement.
