Mr. Cox stated
that he has a lot of background and has worked with the City of Ramsey
since it's infancy. He stated that he is interested in Ramsey and is
going to support any function necessary for a sound, viable community.
Mr. Cox stated that it is important that every issue be treated with full
consideration and that the citizens get their due respect when they approach
Council and Commissions. Mr. Cox stated that he is very cognizant of
citizenry concerns in Ramsey and that the position on P & Z requires someone
who can take a firm stand because often times the best decision is not the
most popular decision.

Chairman Peterson explained the scope and purpose of P & Z, that it is a
recommending body to City Council.

Dr. D.L. Kennen - Stated that he is a resident of Ramsey, has no previous
background, but that he would like to be involved in the future development
of Ramsey. Dr. Kennen stated that he could provide an unbiased opinion.

Terry Hendriksen - Stated that he does not have the experience that Mr.
Cox does, that he is somewhat embarassed by his application because no
one has more experience in the City of Ramsey than Mr. Cox. Mr. Hendriksen
stated that he enjoys living in Ramsey and thought it was time to pay his
dues for that privilege.

P & Z/June 7, 1983
