I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

S~nce the original zoning, the Aydt property has been rezoned and
the body shop is being operated with a conditional use permit.

The Lee's Landscaping property has been sold and is currently being
used for storage, we understand.

The only property used even close to what was originally intended
is the Deemer property and that is not exactly what it used to be.

It would be our opinion that any zoning changes at this time would
have to be ini%iated by the property owner and not by either the City
or a neighboring property owner. So much has transpired in the last
several years to make any changes.

This item is informational and no action will be necessary on your
part. A copy of the zoning map and zoning ordinance are included
as enclosure (D2-a) for your information.

CASE %3: PARK DEDICATION FEES - RURAL AREA:

This item was brought before you at a previous meeting and at that
time you appointed two of your members to work on this issue. To
date we have not received any solid recommendation nor do we know
if anything has been done. We have heard rumors of a proposal to
use bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. in determining park fees but we have
not seen anything concrete. Hopefully, the recommendation will be
for something that is simple to compute and easily administered keeping
in mind that it will only apply to 10 acre densities.

Enclosure (D2-b) contains a copy of the Park Board meeting minutes
of August 18, 1983. Their consensus in this matter was that the park
fees be compiled on only the developable land and not include the
outlots in the computations. We feel that this is an equitable
solution.

Commission Action: Your action in this matter will be to make a
recommendation to the City Council on what you feel is an equitable
solution to this problem. The following proposed motion is hereby
submitted for your consideration:

Motion by and seconded by to recommmend
amending that section of the ordinance that deals with park
dedication fees as follows:

(NOTE: You must make a recommendation, as this will be
going to the City Council for their September meeting.)

Motion carried. Voting yes
Voting no .

CASE %4: METES AND BOUNDS SUBDIVISION; OUTLOT B OF OOUNTRYSIDE ESTATES:

For some time, the City has been trying to acquire the southerly portion
of 0utlot B in Countryside Estates for a drainage easement they need
quite badly.
