W. <br />Anoka, Minnesota 55303 <br /> <br />Dear Mayor Gamec: <br /> <br />On Wednesday, March 19, 1980, at approximately 8:30 p.m., our <br />car sustained damage because of the washed out road at the <br />intersection of Eaton Street and Ermine Boulevard in the City <br />of Ramsey. <br /> <br />We feel the damages we incurred were the result of the City's <br />neglect. The improper drainage caused by the plugged culvert <br />resulted in the water from the rains and melting snows to back <br />up, thereby washing the road out and making travel impassable <br />at that intersection. Even after repeated calls by our <br />neighbors to the City Offices earlier that afternoon, warning <br />markers were not put up until after 9:00 p.m. that evening. <br /> <br />The damages to the car consisted of damage to the radiator, <br />the core support, and the front power steering pulley.
