.Councilman <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 80- <br /> <br />JOINT RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE PROPOSED CABLE SERVICE TERRITORY <br /> <br />(CST) WHICH WILL ENC0~PASS THE CITIES OF CHAMPLIN, ANOKA AND RAMSEY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a Cable Communications Company has submitted an <br />application to the Mdnnesota Cable Communications Board (MCCB) for <br />establishment of a CST which will encompass the Cities of Ramsey, Anoka <br />and Champlin; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Councils of Ramsey, Anoka and Champlin <br />discussed the proposed CST at a joint meeting on February 22, 1980; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan O.ouncil has received for review <br />the CST Proposal (No. 7936-1) and it is appropriate to respond to the <br />proposal by the City Councils jointly; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the three City Councils are of the opinion that <br />Ramsey, Champlin and ~uoka should work together on cable communications. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF P~, <br />MINNESOTA as follows: <br /> <br />-- That the Ramsey City Council, the Anoka City Commission <br /> and the Champlin City Council find that.the proposed CST <br /> under review by the Metropolitan Council (No. 7936-1) as <br /> submitted by Harmon and Company, Inc., is acceptable to <br /> the cities of Ramsey, Champlin and Anoka. <br /> <br />FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY.COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY that <br />the communities are committed to working together on cable communications <br />and are of the opinion that a joint Citizen's Advisory Committee is an <br />acceptable way to meet the MCCB requirements of citizen participation. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the <br />Ramsey City Council this the th day of April, 1980. <br /> <br />ATTEST: Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator/Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
