Proposed 'Improvements:

Since the present street does not have adequate ditches and the intersection of
159th Lane and Kamacite St. does not have positive drainage, it is our recommen-
dation to revise the street grades and construct a suburban street. This would
limit the disruption to the abutting property and minimize the flooding of the
intersection of 15gth Lane and Kamacite St. N.W.

Street Improvement:

The existing streets are proposed to be widened and shaped to accommodate the
26 foot suburban street section as shown on Exhibit B. The street grades would
also be revised so 159th Lane would drain west to County Ditch No. 66 & 3 and
158th Lane.and Kamacite St. would drain to County. Road No. 56 and ultimately
into County Ditch No. 66 & 3. ~

The street section proposed would be narrower than' the City. of Ramsey's

standard, suburban street section, but would minimize disruption to the adjacent'
'lots during construction since.the street'width propqs~d generally follows the ·

present street section width.

The street section proposed as shown on Exhibit B consists of a 3 inch gravel
base with a 1½" bituminous surface. This section is equivalent to a 5-ton design
in accordance to the Department of Transportation specifications. This SectiOn
has been previously used in the city and other communities with no detrimental
effects. It is estimated that this street section has a life expectancy of 15
years with minimal maintenance.

-2-
