Mr. Charles Weaver
May i5, 1980
Page 2

through? Because of the proximity of Coon Rapids, it has virtually eliminated 100%
of my new construction. I am very disappointed to see that all local government
agencies have absolutely no consideration or compassion when it comes to the other
half that is being affected by other interests. How can the Metropolitan Council
and HUD not allow new construction to be built on private lots where sewer and water
are not available? The VA approves this construction and when conventional financing
is available, all of the local banks and lending institutions feel that this is a
prime area for them to invest their money. In the past the Metropolitan Council has
done its utter utmost not to support sewer extensions in our area, but on the other
hand supported redevelopment of the inner city and sewer and water going towards the
airport and further~ south.

I am normally a very conservative individual, both understanding and compassionate
towards city government and its actions to improve our local environment. The City
of Ramsey has tried its utmost to help us, but it is difficult because of the lack
of cooperation and resentment that the Metropolit'an Council has passed along towards
our representatives. We must make some changes and progress now. Please consider
not only my plight, but all'of the other land owners, contractors, sub-contractors,
and local workers who are affected by this FHA ruling on FHA homes.

Respectfully submitted,

Joseph R. Sentyrz

JRS: mere
