Sauter Property: <br /> <br />The City Administrator met on several separate occasions to discuss acquisition of the Sauter <br />property, immediately south of Mate Precision Tooling. Because negotiations have <br />progressed and there appears to be some indications that acquisition through negotiations is <br />possible, the City Administrator will place the condemnation action on the Council agenda for <br />consideration on April 11, 2000. Staff will continue to negotiate with Mr. Sauter in an attempt <br />to bring about a negotiated settlement for acquisition of the property. <br /> <br />Staff understands that builder Denny Sharp is proposing three separate projects for the site. <br />The City Council would like to establish a development proposal process prior to making a <br />decision on how the property will be developed. <br /> <br />Maken Property: <br /> <br />The City Council has discussed the Maken property for the past five (5) Council work <br />sessions. They are currently considering methods of acquisition for the entire parcel. Formal <br />Council action may be made as early as the April 11, 2000 meeting. <br /> <br />Systematic Refrigeration: <br /> <br />The City Council approved the site plan for Systematic Refrigeration on March 14, 2000 with <br />a request that City staff review the proposed building materials. A development agreement <br />was also authorized on March 14, 2000 by the City Council. A part of this project also <br />included negotiations for the westerly 5 acre Spohn property. The City Council approved <br />moving forward with the acquisition process on February 22, 2000, closing is scheduled for <br />June. It is anticipated that Systematic Refrigeration will start construction in the Spring of <br />2000 <br /> <br />West Radium (Peck Properties LLC.): <br /> <br />Development agreements have been completed for the proposed multi-tenant building and <br />will be considered at the April 11, 2000 City Council meeting. The Planning Commission <br />recommended approval of the site plan on March 6, 2000 and it was approved by the City <br />Council on March 28, 2000. <br /> <br />B&B Carpet: <br /> <br />A development agreement to include B&B Carpet as TIF District #7 has been completed and <br />approved by the City Council. Construction is underway with a portion of the exterior <br />building already constructed. <br /> <br /> <br />
