CASE #5: <br /> <br />Enclosure (D2-f) contains a letter from the Minnesota <br />Department of Revenue da%ed August 11, 1980 which es- <br />tablishes our State Aids for 1981 at $159,744 which <br />represents a $37~912 or a 31.1118% increase from 1980 <br />State Aids. Now, the short fall in revenue being taken <br />in by the State Revenue Department will represent a <br />potential short fall of approximately 8.3% or $13,260 <br />in State Aid to the City of Ramsey. Please review en- <br />closure (D2-f) very carefully as that explains how the <br />formula works for those cities not under the tax levy <br />limitation. Bear in mind that 1981 budget will be the <br />time the City of Ramsey will escape the levy limit. The <br />base you establish this year in setting your levy will <br />be the base you will use when you come under the levy <br />limit. <br /> <br />Council Action: Enclosure (D2-ee) contains a resolution <br />Council may want to adopt in regards to the proposed cut of <br />8.3% in the State Aids for 1981.
