170.073.519 <br /> <br />170.073.520 <br /> <br />170.073.521 <br /> <br />170. 073. 522 <br /> <br />170.073.523 <br /> <br />170.073.524 <br /> <br />170.073.525 <br /> <br />170.073.526 <br /> <br />170.O73.527 <br /> <br />"Selective Cutting" me~us the removal of single scattered <br />trees. <br /> <br />"Setback" mea~s the minimum horizontal distance between <br /> <br />a struct~re and the ordinar~ high water level, bl~ffline, <br /> <br />or highway. <br /> <br />"Se~age Treatment System" me~ns any system for the collect- <br />ion~ treatment ~nd dispersion of sewage including but not <br />limited to septic ta~s, soil absorption systems ~nd drain <br />fields. <br /> <br />"Single Family Dwelling" means a detached building con- <br />taining one dwelling unit. <br /> <br />"Structure" means any building, sign, or appurtenance there <br />to, except aerial or ~nderground utility lines, such as <br />sewer, electric, telephone, telegraph, or gas lines, in- <br />cluding towers, poles, and other supporting appurtenances, <br />and fences unsed to control livestock or delineate <br />boundaries. <br /> <br />"Subdivision" means improved or ~nimproved land or lands <br />which are divided for the purpose of ready sale or lease, <br />or divided successively within a five year period for the <br />p~rpose of sale or lease, into three or more lots or parcels <br />of less th~u five acres each, contiguous in area and which <br />are ~nder common ownership or control. <br /> <br />"Substandard Use" means any use w~thin the land use dis- <br />trict existing prior to the date of enactment of this ordi- <br />nance which is permitted within the applicable land use <br />district but does not meet the minimum lot area, length <br />of water frontage, structure setbacks or other dimensional <br />standards of the ordinance. <br /> <br />"Variance" means any modification or variation of official <br />controls where it is determined that by reason of exceptional <br />circ~nstances, the strict enforcement of the official con- <br />trols would cause unnecessary hardship. <br /> <br />"Wetland" shall be as defined in~_~nesota Statute, <br /> <br />Section 105.37, Subd. 15. <br /> <br /> <br />
