Sec. 405 - Amends definition of Dwelling to include, Class A-1 Supervised <br />Living facilities. <br /> <br />Sec. 406 - Definition for Earth Sheltered Structure. <br /> <br />Sec. 420 - Definition for Supervised Living Facility., including Class A-I, <br />A-2, and Class B. <br /> <br />Table 5-A - Amended to include Supervised Living Facilities. Class B in I-2, <br />Class A-2 in R-1 (more than 6 people) and A-1 in R-3 occupancy groups, (6 or <br />less people ). <br /> <br />Sec. 503(d) - Exception 4: Amended to allow 1/2 inch gypsum board on the <br />garage side of the occupancy separation between R-3 and M occupamcy. <br /> <br />Sec. 705 - Amended to require ventilation at a rate of 3/4 cfm per square foot <br />of gross floor area. <br /> <br />Sec. 709(e) - Amended to allow parking ramps of unlimited area, if constructed <br />of Type II FR, II-1 hr., or II-N construction with open sides. <br /> <br />Sec. 709(m) - Amended to require accomodations for commuter~vans, in every.~ <br />parking ramp or other parking facility. <br /> <br />Sec. 802(c) - Amended to require that Group E Div. 1 & 2 occupancies_used for <br />day care & kindergarten shall not be located in a basement unless there is <br />provided at least one exit without intervening stairs directly on grade from <br />the occupied space. <br /> <br />Sec. 809 - Amended to require an approved fire alarm system in a Group E Div. <br />3 occupancy with an occupant load of more than 29. Also gives installation <br />requirements and defines an approved fire alarm. <br /> <br />Sec. 905 - Amended to require-ventilation at the rateof 3/4 cfm_per-sq._ft, <br />of gross floor area. <br /> <br />Sec. 1001 - Amended definition Group I,~Div. 1 occupancies~in¢ludes all <br />nursing homes. Div. 2 to include Class B Supervised Living Facilities. <br /> <br />Sec. 1009 - Provides details for required fire alarms. <br /> <br />Sec. 1101 - Amended to require an occupancy separation between a mobile home <br />and Group M occupancy. <br /> <br />Sec. 1201 - Establishes a R-4 Occupancy designation for .dwellings built to the <br />1975 One & Two Family Dwelling Code with amendments and requires compliance <br />with the Minnesota Energy Code & Plumbing Code. <br /> <br />Sec. 1201 - Definition of R-Division 1 Occupancy includes Class A-2 Supervised <br />Living Facilities (more than 6 persons). <br /> <br />Sec. 1201 - Definition of R-Division 3 Occupancy includes Class A-1 Supervised <br />Living Facility (6 or less people). <br /> <br />Sec. 1205 - Minimum Light & Ventilation requirements for habitable rooms is <br />reduced. Glazed area equal to 8% of floor area with a minimum of 8 sq. ft. is <br />now permitted. Minimum openable area is 4% with a minimum of 4 sq. ft. <br /> <br />2 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
