Bureau of the Cens:
field work by the Minnesota Highway Department; and the Metropolitan Council
special surveys. When a discrepancy occurred among the sources of data, it was
checked through building inspectors or municipal clerks.

The user of this information is reminded that these estimates include reported
alterations that create new units or combined units, mobile homes, units
newly occupied and vacated, and units detached or annexed by changes in
political boundaries. Therefore, the figures in this report do not necessarily
correspond with information reported from other sources that rely solely on
building-permit data. These estimates may be slightly higher than what actually
exist because of difficulty in determining whether a permit issued is actually
constructed.

Within the county summaries, black lines occur in the column titled '"Mobile
Homes" when the communities have no trailer home parks. Zeros in that
column indicate no change in the number of mobile homes, in parks.
