Principal City Engineer Olson responded Staff is comfortable with the provisions for snow. He <br />said there is snow storage across the street. He also noted this developer has complied with the <br />City's parking requirements. He pointed out one difficulty will be the maintenance of the <br />parking lots adjacent to public streets, which will be the responsibility of the association. <br /> <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon pointed out parking requirements are met without the additional <br />nodes. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated these additional parking spaces are an attractive <br />place to store inoperable vehicles, and have proven to be an enforcement issue. <br /> <br />Mr. Herman offered to work with the Staff on this issue. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Johnson, to close the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Johnson, Brauer, and Kociscak. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Reeve, Sweet, and Watson. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 9:41 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at 9:41 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Principal City Engineer Olson pointed out this item was passed in the last Planning Commission <br />meeting, though with many conditions. The developer then chose to submit a new preliminary <br />plat rather than address all the conditions. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik noted action on this item supercedes action taken on <br />this item at the last meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Kociscak, to recommend that <br />City Council approve the preliminary plat for Evergreen Point Townhomes contingent upon <br />compliance with City Staff review letter dated April 26, 2002. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Johnson, Kociscak, and Brauer. <br />Voting No: None.
