CASE

CASE #7:

We will carry out the full meaning of the Code and with reason. However,
we want to be sure that the City Council will be with us on it. We don't
want to run into the Welsch situation as it costs an awful lot of money
and time to deal with these violations. Also there is one other issue
Council has stated to act on. This is in regards to complaints that are
received, not necessarily when we see them. Accordingly, I think Council
should clarify this directive.

Your action will be to give Staff direction on the above issue. The fotlow~
lng proposed motion is hereby submitted for your consideration:

Motion by and seconded by to direct City Staff
to enforce 170.014B of the City Code in regards to unlicensed vehicles
to the fullest extent.

Motion carried. Voting yes
Voting no ~

STATUS OF NON-CONFORMING USE SURVEY:

Counci]~ember Cox has requested that this item be brought'back before the
City Council as the Assessor has now compiled'a list of non, conforming uses.
These are all businesses that are being operated'basically in residential
zoning. Some have conditional use permi~ while the majority do not. Others
consist of junk cars and other miscellaneous violations.

Council's previous actions were, I believe, to compile the list which is
enclosed as enclosure (D2-d).

Your action will be to direct Staff as to how you would like to proeee~ with
this matter.

The Assessor is presently taking photographs of all these problem areas.

CHANGE OF MEETING DATES:

For the past several months you have opted to hold only the second meeting of
each month. Inasmuch as there is relatively little activity that requires
more than one meeting, we would suggest that Council consider having only
one meeting for the months of June and July.

If you do not concur with this, then no action is necessary and both monthly
meetings will proceed in accordance with City Ordinance.

However, should you desire to have only one meeting, then the following motion
is in order:

Motion by and seconded by to hold only the second
scheduled monthly meeting for the months of June and July.

Motion carried. Voting yes
Voting no
