d) <br /> <br />Cash Flow Municipal Finance Seminar- This seminar was very interesting <br />and accordingly, I have supplied each of you with a copy of the text of <br />the seminar which you will receive under separate cover. I hope Council- <br />members will review it as I think you will find it extremely interesting <br />and helpful in understanding the complexity of municipal finance. <br /> <br />I have also supplied our City Attorney, City Engineer, City Accountant <br />and Deputy Clerk a copy of the text for the seminar. <br /> <br />e) Board of Review - Don't forget the Board of Review meeting scheduled for <br /> 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 1, 1982 at the Ramsey Municipal Center. <br /> <br />2) City Hall Water Drainage Problem - We developed a water seepage problem in the <br />lower level of the City Hall. We solved this problem by removing the rock and <br />then put in 15 inch concrete which has now solved our water seepage problem in <br />the lower area of the Municipal Center. The work was done by the Street Department <br />(Merle, Mike and Darryl) and City Staffmembers (Clayton and Lester). Council should <br />take a look at it as they did a heck of a nice job. <br /> <br />3) Five Year Capital Improvement Budget - Copies of this will now be furnished to <br />Councilmembers as soon as we complete typing it up. The reason for the delay has <br />been the changes that we had to make to the Comprehensive Plan. You should get <br />the finished product the first week in June. <br /> <br />4) Finance - The following is hereby submitted on this item: <br /> <br />a) Budgetary Monthly Management Report for April 1982 - You will be receiving <br /> this report in this agenda for May 1982. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />City Annual Audit for 1981 - I have spoken to Mr. John Lilja and they are <br />now in the review and typing process of the audit they conducted. We will <br />have the audit report in June 1982. <br /> <br />c) Budgets - The following will be happening in this area in this order: <br /> <br />1. Commence preparation of background information for 1983 Operational <br /> ~udget as we receive the 1981 audit report. <br /> <br />2. Commence review of the adopted estimated 1982 Budget and submit <br />~known/recommended adjustments to Council for their approval, <br /> <br />3. Complete 1983 rough draft Budget in July 1982 for Council Budget <br /> Committe e. <br /> <br />4. 1983 Capital Improvement Budget will be processed at the same time <br /> as the 1983 Operational Budget. <br /> <br />d) <br /> <br />Recovering of City costs caused by hit and run accident - The City has <br />recouped all of its costs that were caused when Officer Gustafson was hit <br />by a hit and run driver. The amount recovered from the insurance company <br />was $2,896.89 (breakdown of costs: $2,569.49 for over~ime salary costs, <br />$62.90 for the damage done to the officer's uniform, and $264.50 for medical <br />costs). <br /> <br />LGS:po <br /> <br /> <br />
