5. 1982 Street Projects: We are presently working on the following areas:

e

A. Rodeo Hills
B. Barthel's Rum River Acres
C. 157th Lane (East of County Road #56)
D. Bower's Drive
E. Deerwood
F. Shady Lawn Estates

The tentative schedule on the projects is as follows:

A. Complete plans and specs - June 22, 1982
B. Council approve plans and set bid date - June 22, 1982
C. Set bond sale based on estimate - June 22, 1982
D. Receive bids and sell bonds - July 12, 1982
E. Award projects - July 13, 1982
F. Construct projects - July 20 - September 30, 1982
G. Hold assessment hearings - September, 1982

1982 Street Seal Coatin8 Projects: I have reviewed those streets scheduled
for seal coating with your street superintendent, Merle Mevissen and we
found that the streets would hold up another year prior to seal coating.
Therefore, we would recommend that the seal coating proposed in the 1982
capital improvements program be delayed for one (1) year.

Rum River Bridg.e Crossing: I discussed this project with the Assistant County
Engineer, Bud Redepenning, and he indicated that the County is considering
either alternative 3, 3A or a combination of the two. The County will be
contacting both the Cities of Ramsey and Anoka to discuss the alternatives
in the next two weeks. The County Board is expected to select an alternative
at their June 8, 1982 board meeting.

County Road #56 Status: I also spoke to Bud Redepenning in regard to the
status of County Road #56 and he indicated that the contractor had approximately
thirty (30) working days left to complete the project. Therefore, the project
should be completed around July 1, 1982 if the weather premits.

CAB Meetins: On April 29, 1982, I attended the CAB meeting with Lloyd Schnelle
at the City of Champlin. The following is a list of items discussed:

A. Anoka Interceptor - Construction is scheduled to be complete late this year.

Lower segment of the CAB - Interviews were conducted April 29 & 30, 1982 to
hire consultants to design the CAB interceptor. Design is to be complete
in 1982 with construction to be completed by April, 1985.

Comprehensive Plan Reviews: The comprehensive plans for Brooklyn Park and
Anoka have been approved and the plans for Ramsey, Andover and Champl±n
are in the review process. Ramsey's plan is scheduled to go to the
Physical Development Committee on May 20, 1982 for approval. Final approval
by the Metropolitan Council should be made in early June.

D. The next CAB meeting is scheduled for May 20, 1982 to discuss financial
implications of the CAB interceptor.

- 2-
