Modification to the ~radin~ plan <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson stated regarding the modification to the grading p[an, at <br />the last meeting there was discussion about a pond in the back yard of a residential property that <br />,,vas constructed in the mid 1990's. The discussion was basically that it was a'deficiency in the <br />cmTent standard. Whereas that is true, it was not a deficiency when if was put in. The rules <br />regarding the freeboard have changed from one feet to two ~ket of clear zone between the 100 <br />year event and the low floor elevation. There is cu~ently 1.8 feet, and the development proposal <br />suggested puuing water into the pond and worsening a situation by increasing.the water level to <br />1.6 ~et away ~om the low floor elevation. Staff does ~Ot.a~ee.~that is allowable.
