of unsealed streets into sealed areas. Loose gravel signs shall be removed immediately upon <br />sweeping of each area; failure to remove such signs will result in a contract deduct of $50 per <br />sign and the signs will be removed and placed at the City's Public Works facility. Signs left <br />at the Public Works facility for more than 30 days will become the property of the City. <br />11. City Aggregate Available for Use <br />The City has stockpiles of previously used seal coat aggregates which are located at the City <br />Public Works facility located at 14100 Jasper Street N.W. The Contractor may utilize this <br />aggregate on this project if it meets specifications. The Contractor shall screen this aggregate <br />prior to use. The City will not be responsible for any damage to the Contractor's equipment <br />which may result from the use of this material due to lack of screening. <br />12. Sanitary Facilities Required <br />The Contractor shall provide temporary sanitary facilities for the duration of their work, at a <br />location to be approved by the Engineer. These facilities may be placed at the City's Public <br />Works facility located at 14100 Jaspar Street. Use of existing Public Works temporary sanitary <br />facilities will not be allowed. <br />13. Method of Payment <br />a) Bituminous material - Payment shall be made on a per gallon unit price by type. <br />b) Sealcoatina Aaareaate - Payment shall be made on a per square yard basis for cover aggregate <br />by type. <br />c) Traffic control and sianaae - Payment shall be made on a lump sum basis for all necessary <br />traffic control and signage required on City streets. <br />d) Pavement Strinina — Payment shall be made on a per lineal foot basis as compensation for all <br />equipment, material, and labor costs required for the transportation, and placement of the <br />required pavement striping shown on the plans, based upon type. <br />e) Pavement Markings — Payment shall be compensated per the basis shown on the pay estimate <br />as compensation for all equipment, material, and labor costs required for the transportation, <br />and placement of the required pavement markings shown on the plans. <br />f) Covering Pavement Markings — Pavement markings identified by City Staff as needing to be <br />covered prior to sealcoat application shall be considered incidental to the work. <br />g) <br />Other Items - Other items not specifically listed for payment herein but required by these <br />specifications shall be considered incidental to the work. <br />SCTS 5 <br />
