SECTION 2621 —STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR <br />SANITARY SEWER AND STORM SEWER INSTALLATION <br />2621.1 DESCRIPTION <br />This work shall consist of the construction of pipe sewers utilizing plant fabricated pipe and <br />other appurtenant materials, installed for conveyance of sewage, industrial wastes, or storm <br />water. The work includes construction of manhole and catch basin structures and other related <br />items as specified. <br />The use of the term "Plans, Specifications and Special Provisions" within this specification shall <br />be construed to mean those documents which compliment, modify, or clarify these <br />specifications and are an enforceable component of the Contract Documents. <br />All references to MnDOT Specifications shall mean the latest published edition of the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation "Standard Specifications for Construction", and all supplements <br />and amendments thereto published prior to the date of advertisement for bids. <br />All references to other Specifications of AASHTO, ASTM, ANSI, AWWA, etc. shall mean the <br />latest published edition available on the date of advertisement for bids. <br />The following specifications have been referenced in this Specification: <br />AASHTO M198 Standard Specification for Joints for Concrete Pipe, Manholes, and Precast Box <br />Sections Using Preformed Flexible Joint Sealants <br />AASHTO M294 Standard Specification for Corrugated Polyethylene Pipe, 300- to 1500-mm (12- <br />to 60-in.)
