Construction equipment of any kind <br />shall not operate directly on the insulation board. Sections of insulation board damaged by the Contractor's <br />construction operations shall be replaced at the Contractor's own expense. <br />S-41.4 No separate payment will be mad for Polystyrene Insulation, it should be considered incidental to the item <br />it is insulating. <br />S-42 (2506) MANHOLES AND CATCH BASINS <br />MnDOT 2506 is hereby modified and/or supplemented with the following: <br />S-42.1 Adjusting Rings manufactured from High Density Polyethylene (H.D.P.E.) are approved as an alternate to <br />concrete adjusting rings. It is important that the H.D.P.E. adjusting ring be sealed with the product recommended by <br />the manufacturer. <br />S-42.2 Construct Drainage Structure Design Special 1 <br />A. This pay item shall be considered full compensation to construct a 48-inch diameter manhole 48-4020 <br />style with a 2 x 3 opening in the top slab as shown in the detail in the plan set. <br />S-42.3 Construct Drainage Structure Design Special 2 <br />A. This pay item shall be considered full compensation to construct a 2' x 3' structure as shown in the <br />detail in the plan set. <br />S-42.4 Adjust Frame and Ring Casting <br />A. Adjust Frame and Ring Casting shall be paid per EACH for adjusting existing castings to proposed <br />grade or any additional adjustments of new castings from base course to wear course elevation. <br />1. Initial adjustment of new casting shall be considered incidental to the casting being installed. <br />S-43 (2521) CONCRETE WALK (ADA) <br />This work shall consist of constructing Concrete Walk, including necessary Subgrade Preparation, <br />Aggregate Base, and Grading as indicated in the Plan, in accordance with the provisions of MnDOT 2112, 2211, <br />2521, other Contract provisions, and the following: <br />S-43.1 CONSTRUCTION REOUIREMENTS <br />(A) Concrete Walk— The walk shall be constructed as detailed in the Plan and conform to the <br />requirements of MnDOT 2521, Walks. <br />To avoid corner breaks, all walk edges shall be formed and constructed perpendicular to the back <br />of curb and gutter sections and concrete structures for a one foot minimum distance. <br />All existing signs shall be salvaged and reinstalled as directed by the Engineer or as indicated in <br />the Plan. <br />
