Case #10: Report from Personnel Committee The Personnel Committee met on January 8, 2002, to discuss the following cases: 1) Authorize Appointment to Police Corporal Position The Personnel Committee recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution #02-01- 012 authorizing the appointment of Officer Brad Paplham to the Corporal assignment effective January 1, 2001, with additional compensation at a monthly rate consistent with the Law Enforcement Labor Services (LELS) union contract. 2) Receive Recommendation for Finalists for Assistant City Administrator Position The Personnel Committee recommended that the City Council authorize the hiring of Heidi Nelson for the position of Assistant City Administrator at an annual salary of $61,860 with three weeks vacation and serving a one-year probationary period, contingent upon successful completion of drug and physical screen. Motion by Councihnember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to ratify the recommendations of the Personnel Committee for Cases 1 and 2. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Kurak, Anderson, and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. 3) Consider Revisions to Policy for Appointing Members of City Boards and Commissions The Personnel Committee recommended that the Council adopt the organizational resolution as discussed at the Personnel Committee. Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to accept section 2k Legal Services. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Anderson, Kurak, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Case #1.1: Report from Finance Committee The Finance Committee met on January 8, 2002 to discuss the following cases: 1) Resolution Approving the City of Ramsey's 2003 Budget Calendar The Finance Committee recommended that the City Council adopt the Resolution #02- 01.-013 approving the City of Ramsey's 2003 budget calendar.
