Councilmember Zimmerman stated no, noting that he would like to know what the other costs <br />would be before making a decision. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that she would like to know what the other costs would be <br />before making a decision, but there is a problem and that was that the information was presented <br />at a previous meeting in which Councilmember Hendriksen was not present. She stated that she <br />would like to delay action long enough to review other costs. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that he would bring the issue back at a future work session. <br /> <br />2) Information Systems Consultant <br /> <br />Barry Johnson gave a brief review of his summary of the City's information system and <br />recommendations. <br /> <br />Sergeant Dwyer reviewed the Police Department's current needs and the current services <br />received from Netmark. He explained that there is an overall dissatisfaction with the services of <br />Netmark as well as many services they don't provide. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman noted that other departments have voiced similar concerns pertaining <br />to Netmark. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen stated that he thought the City contracted with Netmark because of <br />the deficiencies of LOGIS. <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson replied that when he interviewed with LOGIS they expressed that they previously <br />did not provide desktop support. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if LOGIS currently provides on-site services. <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson replied yes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen questioned the fees charged by LOGIS. <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson replied that he was unsure. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak inquired if the Fire Department had the same needs as the Police <br />Department. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler replied that their needs are completely different, <br />explaining that their system is controlled by Anoka County. <br /> <br />Councihnember Anderson inquired if Mr. Johnson had talked to other cities regarding the <br />services of LOGIS. <br /> <br />City Council/January 15, 2002 <br /> Page 5 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
