Case #9: Report from Public Works Committee <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />2002 Street Maintenance Program <br /> <br />The Public Works Committee recommended that the City Council direct staff to prepare a <br />feasibility study for the 2002 Street Maintenance Program. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Discuss Property Acquisition Policy Along C.R. #116 <br />The Public Works Committee recommended that staff talk to the County first because <br />Councihnember Zimmerman thought the County was already having conversations with <br />the property owner. It was also recommended that there be some sort of written <br />agreement as to who will buy the necessary right-of-way and what will each City be <br />obligated to as well as the County. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Consider Interim Private Street Policy <br />The Public Works Committee recommended that the City Council direct staff to research <br />other City's policies and report back to the Committee. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Mayor Gamec, to ratify the recommendations of <br />the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, Anderson, and <br />Hendriksen. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberZimmerman. <br /> <br />Case #1 O: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee met on February 12, 2002, to discuss the following cases: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Engineering Department Organizational Change Request <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that according to staff there is not a formal contract but a <br />signed letter with Mr. Jankowski and based on that information the proposed action was <br />appropriate. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen recommended that the action be contingent upon the City <br />Attorney reviewing the signed letter. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to place <br />Brian Olson in the position of Principal City Engineer effective February 13, 2002, and <br />that City Engineer Jankowski be given $2,700 as one time compensation for the City <br />vehicle he currently utilized, contingent upon City Attorney review. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Anderson, <br />and Kurak. Voting No: None.
