June 30, 1977 <br /> <br />SUMMARY OF THE PROPOSED <br />AMENDMENT TO SUBDIVISION <br /> ORDINANCE <br /> <br />The objective of this amendment to the Subdivision Ordinance is to provide a <br />mechanism for evaluating and considering for approval lots proposed as sites <br />for individual sewage disposal systems. <br /> <br />The proposed ordinance requires a subdivider to provide the city with a <br />preliminary sketch of the proposed plat with considerable information <br />pertaining to the proposed development site. The city can then use the <br />information to determine if the lots are acceptable for sewage disposal <br />sites (using requirements established in the Sewage Disposal and Soils <br />Ordinances). If the lots are acceptable, the plat would be approved, if not <br />acceptable, the plat would be rejected as submitted. If there is uncertainty <br />regarding a plat or part of a plat, this ordinance outlines tests which are <br />to be conducted to determine sewage disposal site suitability. <br /> <br /> <br />
