Mr. Kelsey inquired if they could pay the assessment in one lump sum. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied yes. <br /> <br />Ms. Axell inquired as to how much her assessment would be. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that for Ms. Axell's development they were estimating <br />approximately $760 per household. He noted that the cost can be paid in one lump sum or over <br />10 years. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained that the costs at this time are only estimates; after the project is <br />completed, residents will be sent the actual assessment amount. <br /> <br />Richard Krueger, 7640 - 150"' Lane NW, Ramsey inquired if they will be extending sewer and <br />water in the near future along 149"'. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that there were no plans to do so at this time. <br /> <br />Mr. Krueger stated that there might be a new Council in the fall and that Council might decide to <br />expand City sewer and water. He inquired if that were to happen, would they rip up the new <br />roads. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that if that decision was made, then yes the roads would be ripped up, but <br />he did not see ajay sewer and water extension happening. <br /> <br />Lance Ragor, 6194 - 146th Avenue NW, Ramsey, stated that his street was recently sealcoated but <br />he never received ajay notice of an assessment. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski explained that when a new road is constructed the City collects an <br />escrow fi'om the developer so the first sealcoating is not assessed. <br /> <br />Al Pearson, 14821 Bowers Drive NW, Ramsey, stated that he owns a quarter mile of frontage <br />along 15Y'd Avenue and inquired as to what his assessment would be. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowski replied that Mr. Pearson would pay the same as any single parcel owner. <br /> <br />Francine Lind, 15952 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, inquired as to what she was going to be <br />assessed. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski explained that it has been the City's policy since 1995 that when there <br />is fi'ontage on a parcel to be benefited, but the main drive is on a County road, the property <br />owner is assessed a half share. <br /> <br />City Council/March 12, 2002 <br /> Page 6 of 23 <br /> <br /> <br />
