11. If a major issue arises over a short-term extension request, <br /> Local Planning Assistance will prepare a staff report and the <br /> matter will be referred to the PhysiCal Development Committee <br /> for a review° <br /> <br />12. The Metropolitan Council will act on the Consent List or the <br /> Physical Development Committee report by resolution. <br /> <br />Handling Procedure for Extensions of More Than Six Months. <br /> <br />13. Local governments should submit requests to the Council Chair- <br /> man with the information required in item 3. <br /> <br />14o If the local government requesting the extension chooses, it <br /> may request that the Land Use Advisory Committee review the <br /> matter and make a recommendation to the Physical Development <br /> Committee. The sponsor should indicate this in its request to <br /> the Council Chairman (item 14) in addition to providing the <br /> information required in item 3. The LUAC will be notified <br /> and will establish a review ~ate before the Physical Develop- <br /> ment Committee makes its final recommendation. <br /> <br />15. Local Planning Assistance staff will contact local officials <br /> to review the request as to its completeness and to clarify <br /> information. A staff report will be prepared and. a Physical <br /> Development Committee review date will be established. The <br /> staff report and notification of the Physical Development <br /> Committee meeting date at which the request will be considered <br /> will be sent to the sponsor and to the LUAC if LUAC action has <br /> been requested. <br /> <br />16o The Physical Development committee will make a recommendation <br /> to the full Metropolitan Council based on the information sub- <br /> mitted in writing and at its meeting. The Committee may refer <br /> a request to the Land Use Advisory Committee for their com- <br /> ments, which will be advisory. <br /> <br />17~ The Metropolitan Council will by resolution act on the Physi- <br /> cal Development Committee report on the request. <br /> <br />18.
