The plan should include a general time schedule for the proposed <br /> parks. <br /> <br />To assist the Metropolitan Council determine the compatibility of <br />Ramsey's future park system with the metropolitan recreation open <br />space system, the following should be included in the park plan. <br />Specific questions should be directed to Arne Stefferud, 291-6360. <br /> <br />- Description of any planned local links to regional park or trail <br /> facilities. <br /> <br />- Description of existing or planned public improvements which would <br /> impact or serve regional recreation open space facilities. <br /> <br />Local policies and techniques that will be used to reserve pro- <br />posed regional trail corridors and portions of the Rum River <br />regional park that have not yet been acquired. <br /> <br />Although the following information is not specifically required <br />under the Metropolitan Land Planning Act, the Metropolitan Council <br />will comment on the adequacy of this information as a basis for <br />Council reviews of Land and Water Conservation Fund (LAWCON) and <br />Legislative Commission on Minnesota Resources local park grant <br />applications. <br /> <br />- Identification of local recreation needs and alternatives for <br /> meeting them through 1990. <br /> <br />Park capital improvement program for the next five years which <br />describes proposed improvements, timing of improvements, esti- <br />mated annual maintenance costs and sources of funds for the <br />improvements. (This information could be contained in the capital <br />improvements element of the implementation program.) <br /> <br /> <br />
