In less deve!o~ed areas it would be <br />advantageous to have separated treadways in a wider trail corridor <br />with more trail uses possible. (See attached excerpt from the <br />Development Guide on Regional Trail Corridors.) <br /> <br />These regional trail corridors provide a connecting link between <br />regional parks. The ~ississippi ~est Park site is being proposed <br />for designation as a regional park. If this does become a regional <br />facility it would serve as a regional trai!head for this trail <br />corridor. <br /> <br />As to ownership and maintenance responsibilities of the trail, there <br />would have to be discussions between the City of Ramsey and Anoka <br />County at a future date. As of now, no monies are available or <br />projected in the near future for this trail corridor. <br /> <br />~hat is important now is to make sure a minim~ 30 foot v:ide strip <br />of land is set aside for the trail corridor, as these development <br />plats are reviewed and accepted. <br /> <br />If you have further questions, call our office at 757-3920. <br /> <br />Sincere !y, <br /> <br />David L.
